All of the young contributors to the inaugral edition of the Spring Creek Literacy Project magazine will have the opportunity to participate for three more summers. They will enter middle school in the fall and high school three years later with skills that will allow them to be successful learners and leaders. Watch for these girls to become a new generation of young mountain women, poised to speak and act with strong, sure voices. We hope you will enjoy this magazine, as you sit back and let girls' stories tell you about their lives and their dreams.

A New Challenge Gift for the Spring Creek Literacy Project

Jim and Libby Woodruff of Madison County have offered us an important and generous challenge. They will match individual contributions, dollar for dollar, up to $12,500. Please work with us to meet this challenge, one that will help the SCLP expand in 2011, doubling the number of Appalachian students served. Your gift is tax deductible and can be made by downloading the Donate form below.
